Farfetch Beauty Wish list and a peak into my makeup bag:

Today I am writing a post all about Farfecth and their lovely new Beauty line, and discussing with you my Top 5 products on their that are currently in my wish list!

If you have not come across Farfetch already you should definitely take a look at their website! I love it because there are such a wide range of products to choose from. For example you can stay up to date with the latest fashion trends by shopping their clothing range, or choose a beautiful handbag from there or a piece of jewellery. And as well as this you can also shop amazing luxury beauty products, including skincare, haircare, makeup and male grooming products. I know right, what can't you get from there?

I think this is such a unique thing as it means you can do all your shopping on one website, rather than having to search a whole load of different ones to get your clothes from one place and beauty products from another.

They have 400 different Boutiques featured on there site giving you plenty of options and making it a lot easier for you. It is perfect that they are all in one place rather than having to going into each of the 400 different stores looking for what you want, which is way too stressful and time consuming, this way you can relax at home and quickly and easily search for the items you want.

They have a lovely selection of the top luxury Beauty products and below I have made a list of my 5 favourite products that are currently in my wish list!

I hope you enjoy and get some shopping inspiration.

Last Minute Mother's Day Gift Guide

With Mother's Day just round the corner, I decided to do a last minute gift guide including all of the things I would give my Mum hoping it may help you out if you are having some trouble coming up with something!

I have included a range of suggestions that can easily be changed to your preferences, including how much you would like to spend. Remember, it is not essential to spend a lot, all she wants is something thoughtful and sentimental that shows her how special she is to you.

I hope you enjoy!

Flower Subscription:

1) A lot of mothers out there love a fresh bunch of flowers  (I know my mum certainly does), which is why something like this could be perfect for your mum! They would receive a new bouquet of flowers in the post each month, which I think would help brighten any mothers day up! I also love how this is an ongoing gift as it will be received over a period of time.

I company that I like is called 'Bloom and Wild'. They seem to have high quality products and I have heard good things about their service.

2) Skincare and Beauty products:

My mum is constantly on the hunt for good skincare an makeup products that suit her and loves trying new things out, I think a great idea would be to get a few of her favourite things or something you have heard is a really good product for mature skin that she may like to try out (maybe a face moisturiser she loves or one you have heard that is extremely good that she could try out). These products do not need to be expensive you can easily fin nice things from places such as Boots and Superdrug.

3) A 'Pamper Hamper':

If like mine your mum is always extremely busy and needs some time to herself to relax a pamper hamper may be perfect for her. You can include a few items in there that would be perfect for relaxation so that she can set aside some time for herself purely to relax. Some items you may want to include could be: candles, bath products, face mask and some of her favourite chocolates or sweets! You could even possibly include a DVD of one of her favourite movies and offer to watch it with her.

4) An experience:
If you do not get to spend a lot of quality time with your mum but would like to and to then an experience could be perfect. You could always do something that you know she loves to do or something she has always wanted to do, or a spa trip is always a good choice!

5) D.I.Y

Lastly, if you are on a budget then a bit of D.I.Y is always a good idea. This shows that you put a lot of thought and time into the present, which she will love and will be grateful for. I'm sure it will be something she will cherish forever. An example of this could be something like making a certificate for her or a card, baking her a cake, making her breakfast, a photo album of all your favourite memories. Another example could be a little jar where you write on lots of different pieces of papers all the things you love about her and she can pick one out when she is feeling a little down to make her feel better. I'm sure she will love anything you put together!

I hope you and your Mother have an amazing day! Make sure to remind her just how special she is and why you love her so much, and don't forget to thank her for all that she does for you!

Let me know any suggestions you have in the comments!

Please share if you enjoyed and follow for more.

I hope you enjoyed this post and have a lovely Sunday.

Selena Gomez Inspired Smokey Eye!

I have been wanting to do a smokey eye tutorial for a while now as I feel it is a classic look that suits everyone. Once I saw this picture of Selena Gomez looking amazing with a smokey eye I decided to do an inspired makeup tutorial.

I know this does not look exactly identical to Selena's, but that is why it is just an inspired look, it is my interpretation of it.

Pictures of all the products are featured below.

I hope you enjoy!

Step by step guide on this tutorial:

1) I started of by priming my skin with The Body Shops 'Insta Blur' primer I love this product as it has a really nice texture plus makes your makeup last a lot longer!

2) Then I went in with my foundation and used the Makeup Forever HD Foundation. I love this as it always gives me a flawless effect, lasts all day and looks great in photos!

3) I then went to use my MAC Studio Finish concealer to cover any other spots/blemishes that my Foundation didn't cover. ( For this look I don't use my under eye concealer until later as I find there is a lot of fall out with such dark eye shadow colours).

3) I then used my Charlotte Tilbury powder over the top to set my makeup.

4) After this I began to contour with my Anastasia Beverly Hills contour kit. Using the lighter shades for under my eyes, along my nose, chin and forehead. Then the darker shades under my cheekbones, along my jawline, and the outer part of my forehead.

5) For highlight I put the Nars Illuminator on in Copacabana and then used Mary Lou-Manizer over the top.

6) Next, I used Nars blush in 'Orgasm' on my cheekbones.

7) I then went onto my brows and used the Benefit 'Brow-zing', beginning with the brow gel and then over the top with thee powder to make it stay on for longer.

8) After this I used the Benefit 'gimme brow' gel to set the products and shape my brows.

9) Then I began with my eye make up where I mainly used the Urban Decay Smokey Eye palette. I began with some lighter shades, which were: 'Thirteen' and then 'Combust', applying these all over my lid.

10) After this I began to darker it up adding the shade'Password' to the base and blending 'Whisky' out into the crease.

11) Then I applied 'Smolder' on the base and put 'Black Market' on the outer corner of my eye and blending it into the crease.

12) On top of this I used 'Dagger' over the crease and 'Slanted' and 'Armour' in the on my base. I also used the colour 'High' as a highlight under the brow bone.

13) I also used MAC'S Carbon to deepen up the crease and make it look more dramatic, adding more depth as this is a really pigmented matte black colour.

14) This step is not necessary but I used the 'Revolution Redemption eye shadow palette iconic 2'. From this palette I used the two shimmery grey colours on my lid to slightly open up my eyes. I would recommend this palette if you are on a budget, although it does not have all of the same colours as the Smokey palette I would say it is fairly similar and has good pigmentation.

15) Then I wiped away any fall out under my eyes and applied my Nars creamy concealer.

16) I then put a coat of mascara on using Maybelline's 'Lash Sensational' and then applied my Eyelure dramatic lashes N0 205.

16) Finally, I applied Chanel's lipstick in 'Rouge Allure' but I would say any pale pink colour would do!

Tips:

- I would say the key for a dramatic smokey eye like this is to make sure you gradually build up the colours and use a very pigmented matte black in the crease to make it extra bold!

- Another tip when recreating this look is to beware of the fall out from the dark eyeshadows! When I did this looks I had a lot of black pigment under my eyes, therefore I would recommend not putting any concealer on until you have finished with the eye look.

- For this look you can either choose to add a dark black eyeshadow just under your waterline to make it look even more dramatic and take the black eye shadow out further by blending it out more like Selena has. I decided not to do this as I was happy with how it looked already and by not having back near the water line it helps to make your eyes appear wider which I like.

-Finally, my biggest tip would be to blend! Make sure you always blend everything in, even if it may take a little bit of time, it is worth it and will give you the best results!

The Latest Makeup Trends I've been loving

Today I decided to do a post on a round up of all of the latest trends surrounding makeup, a lot of these are ones that can be seen all over places like instagram and tumblr! Most of them have been around for quite some time now and are becoming increasing popular.

I have listed some of my favourites and have also included products and tips I would recommend to achieve these looks. At the very end I have included a picture of most of the products mentioned in this blog post.

Also, to lighten things up a little I have also decided to add some memes that are related to these trends that I find funny, just thought I would add this to put a funny twist on things.

I hope you enjoy this post!

An overview of most of the products mentioned

My take on the makeup trends (although minus the matte lip)
1) Winged eyeliner:

Winged liner has been in for quite some time but has recently become increasingly popular over the internet. Often the most desired look is black liner with a sharp liner flicking slightly upwards on either side, and preferably as even as they possibly can be (although we all know the struggle of how hard that really is). There is a variety of different types of liner including gel liner and liquid and which one you chose is often down to personal preference, but my favourite is usually liquid.

Products I recommend:

- Bourjois Paris liquid eyeliner 16 hour- I love this for giving a bold black look and how it last such a long time.

- Benefit 'they're real' liner- t I do fin this slightly trickier to use so would not recommend for beginners.

- Maybelline gel liner is a good option if you would prefer to use a gel.

-Mac gel liner is also a very good choice as it has great lasting power and gives a very bold black effect.

Can anyone else relate to these memes?

2) Contouring

Contouring has lately become a massive makeup trend and is all over the internet right now. Most people are after that 'Kardashian contour affect'. It is one of those looks that can take a bit of practise but once you get the hang of it and get your head round it, it is fairly easy to do. Some tips I would recommend doing when contouring is using a light hand and making sure it is completely blended so it looks as natural as possible. It is also important to make sure you chose the right shades so they suit your skin tone nicely.

When contouring, you have to decide whether you want a cream contour or a powder contour, and I would also recommend getting a contour kit so you have a selection of colours and do not need to buy everything individually.

Products I would recommend:

-Anastasia Beverly Hills contour kit- cream or powder. Anastasia Beverly Hills is very well known for there amazing contour kits, I have the original one which is the powder kit and love it, although I am also tempted to get the cream as I have heard amazing things about it!

-Kat Von D shade and light contour kit- I recently got this product when I went to America and think it is amazing, I love the shades in it and think it does the job perfectly.

-L.A girl pro concealer- This is great if you are on more of a budget as these products are super cheap! They are both concealers and are liquid. I like to get a light shade to highlight and dark shade (usually in beautiful bronze) for sculpting. Also as these products are mainly sold in America I buy min off Amazon.

Some memes I found funny based on contouring:

3) Over lined nude lips

Since Kylie Jenner started over lining her lips and often whilst support a very nude shade it has become a massive phenomenon. It is also a massive trend to have the lipstick as matte as possible therefore lipstick or liquid lipstick is often a good option.

Tips:

-Do not over line them to much to keep a natural look.

-Try to find a good match for you liner and lipstick.

Products I recommend:

-Mac Velvet Teddy: This is said to be a product Kyle Jenner uses, and is a really pretty brown-pink toned nude, plus it is extremely matte.

-Mac Brave: This is still matte and nude but slightly more pinky toned then velvet teddy, thus it depends on your personal preference and what suits you best.

-Revlon lipstick in 'naughty nude': this is a good drugstore alternative, and although it is not an exact match for either of the above mentioned it is still a really nice nude colour, plus with a lovely texture and staying power.

-Mac liner spice or snog- These go really well with mac Velvet Teddy and Brave and is perfect for slightly over lining your lips.

When you over line your lips and get a little carried away....

4) Highlighting:

Highlighting is a trend I have been loving at the moment, and my collection seems to be speedily increasing, I just cannot get enough! I love the glowy and dewy effect it often gives and think it looks beautiful on anyone.

Tips:

Do not go too overboard as it can sometimes look too shimmery and shiny if too much product is used, I would recommend using a very light hand.

Products I would recommend:

-Becca Highlighter: 'Opal' or 'Champagne Pop'- Becca has an amazing highlighting range and I would recommend checking them out if you haven't already. The colours are all very pigmented and  give off a wonderful glow.

-The Balm 'Mary Lou-Manizer'- This is a really pretty pearl coloured highlight and is a good one to try when starting off.

-Anastasia Beverly Hills in 'So Hollywood'- This is quite a light shimmery pearl colour and is lovely for a strong glow.

-Anastasia Beverly Hills highlight kit- I have not yet tried this, but as you may have seen in one of my previous blog post it is on my wish list! I have heard lots of amazing things about it and love the variety of shades.

-Mac 'Gold deposit': This is a good shade for those with a darker skin tone and give a gorgeous golden glow.

-Mac 'Global glow': this is good if you want a more golden glow but have a lighter skin tone, I recently go this and am already in love!

-Nars 'Copacabana': Nars Copacabana is a liquid highlight and is good to put underneath powder and gives a nice dewy glow.

Getting a new highlight and getting a bit too excited:

5) Thick brows

'Brows on fleek' has suddenly become a major trend and it is often thick ones that are most desired, this trend has started because of the brow queen Cara Delivigne who has very envious, thick brows. It is also a trend to have to slightly messy and bold.

Tips:

-Try to grow out your brows as much as possible- this may take time but be patient and it will be worth it.
- Try going slightly darker then usually as bold brows are totally in, but make sure it still remains natural.
- Don't make them look to neat, it is on trend to have them slightly rough looking.

Product recommendations:

-Anastasia Beverly Hills (A.k.A the queen of brow products) 'Dip brow pomade'- I have this in the shade 'dark brown' and love it! It is perfect if you don't already have think brows therefore want to fill them in to make them appear fuller but still natural. Plus the product has amazing last power and will not smudge.

-Anastasia Beverly Hills 'Brow wiz'- this is better if you are not a fan of using a gel like the pomade and some may find this slightly easier, plus it is good if you are in a hurry.

-Anastasia Beverly Hills 'Brow gel'- it is said that Cara Delevingne uses this herself and it is great for setting your brows and making them appear a bit more bushy if that is what you want.

-Soap and Glory 'Brow archery'- this is a good drugstore dupe, it is one I have been loving recently and use a lot. It come with two sides- a felt tip like side to shape and a pencil side to make your brows look fuller and keep them lasting all day.

-Benefit 'Browzings'- this is a brow gel and powder compact and I have recently been loving the full brow effect it gives, I use the gel first to shape my brows and then the powder to set them in place so they last all day.

Brow goals or what?

Cara Delevinge (Queen of brows)
The struggle!

Too true, ahaha!

My go-to Daytime Outfit

Today I decided to show you what I like to wear on a day to day basis, when wanting to look casual, comfy yet also stylish!

This is an outfit that can be easily adaptable to your preferences and what you think suits you.

I hope you enjoy this post!

All outfit details are mentioned below.

Me and my new Pug puppy, see my blog post on my pugs for more!

Outfit laid out with my choice of accessorises

Outfit details:

Coat: Zara Shearling Oversized jacket. I love this coat so much, I have been wearing it a lot at the moment as it keeps me very warm and I feel goes well with most things!

Jumper: Topshop. I have been loving turtlenecks out the moment, especially jumpers as they keep me really warm, are super comfortable and at the same time fashionable.

Jeans: Black ripped Topshop Jamie jeans. These jeans are probably one of my most worn pair of jeans, this is because I love the look of them and the fact they go with everything so it is super easy when trying to co-ordinate with your outfit in the morning and makes the process a whole lot quicker.

Shoes: Adidas Superstar. I love these shoes as yet again they are super comfy yet also very in fashion at the moment, and I just find myself always reaching for these whenever deciding what to wear. They are great for any day time occasion, such as shopping or going to a lecture!

Bag: Zara. This bag may be a little small if taking it to a lecture so I would recommend something a bit bigger, but I think it is great for shopping as it is just the right size, and it is nice to have it on your shoulder so your arm does not ache too much! Plus I also love to use it when going out in the evening as I feel it is very versatile and can be dressed up or down.

Watch: Daniel Wellington. I love Daniel Wellington's watches at the moment and think they look super stylish yet classy. I would definitely suggest looking into the brand if you haven't already.

Sunglasses: Rayban Aviators. Recently, the weather has been cold but still sunny so I have often found myself grabbing these when necessary.

This is a look that is extremely adaptable and can be changed depending on what you already have in your wardrobe, I would say the key pieces are:

- Your favourite pair of jeans
- A comfy but stylish jumper/top to match
- A coat/jacket depending on how cold it is where you are
- A comfy pair of shoes (I would suggest trainers)

Let me know what you think below and whether you would like to see anything similar again! I would love to hear about your go to outfits and what you love to wear.

Please follow to keep up to do date with more posts and share it with your friends if you enjoyed!
